On 25th January 2019,Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Thackeray was released. The film is a biopic of a renowned politician, Balasaheb Thackeray. It was released on the occasion of Bal Thackeray's 93rd birth anniversary. He was a great leader of an influential political party of Maharashtra, who died in 2012.The film has been directed by Abhijeet Panse and it also had Amrita Rao in it. Amrita played the role of Thackeray’s wife.
It hasn’t even been a month since its release and the makers have decided to make its sequel already. Sanjay Raut, the producer of this film has confirmed the news of the second installment. The leader’s life was filled with controversies.Many claims that all his life’s incidentswere not properly portrayed in the recent film. As a result, the makers have assured to do justice in the sequel and portray him in the bold and fearless way he truly was.
Nawaz is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘RaatAkeli’. Sanjay says that he is very glad that Nawaz is on-board with this idea and will soon breathe life in the role of Thackeray.
