Taylor Swift beats Jackson’s record

American singer and songwriter created history by shattering Pop King Michael Jackson's all-time record American Music Awards wins. Jackson held the record of winning the most number of AMA awards by 24. Swift already had 23 wins in her bag before that night. Swift knocked over Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande in the category Favourite Album- Pop/Rock for "Lover", later that evening she was also named as the Artist of the Year. All the categories she was nominated for include, favorite music video, favorite female artist (pop/rock), favorite artist and her Artist of the Decade honor. Swift now has 29 American Music Awards. Swift in her acceptance speech said,

"All any of the artists, or really anyone, in this room wants is to create something that will last...The fact that this is an award that celebrates a decade of hard work and of art, and of fun and memories -- all that matters to me is the memories that I have had with you guys, with you the fans, over the years. We've had fun, incredible, exhilarating, extraordinary times together. May it continue."

Earlier this year Swift’s feud with her master recordings' owners Scott Borchetta and Scooter Braun was all over the news. Even last week Swift accused Braun of not letting her permission to sing songs from her back catalog at the awards show. At the show Swift performed a medley of her hit songs; where special appearances from Camilla Cabello, Halsey, Misty Copeland, and Craig Hall were also witnessed. The 'Fearless' singer holds six Guinness World Records and now this is another milestone in her spectacular career.
