Student of the Year 2 Trailer Finally Comes Out

The much-awaited film of 2019, ‘Student of the Year 2’ released its theatrical trailer on 12th April, presenting Tiger Shroff as Rohan, Ananya Pandey as rich and confident Shreya, and Tara Sutaria as glamourous Mia, for the batch of 2019. Tiger Shroff has previously featured in films like ‘Baghi’ and ‘Heropanti’, but the other two actors are making their debut with the film. The movie is a sequel of the 2011 success, ‘Student of the Year’, which marked the debut of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra, who is established and well-acclaimed actors of today. The sequel is directed by Punit Malhotra.

The original movie focused on an inter-college competition helmed by the college, friends competing against each other in a healthy manner at first, with pressure faced by each student at home or in college, while trying to win the title, competition bringing the worst out turning friends into foes, a love triangle and lastly making amends when life takes a different turn after college. The sequel will also be based upon an inter-college competition and a love triangle between the leads.

The cast released few posters and the first look of the film couple of days ago. In the trailer, Shroff gives a message “If life is a field, then divide it into two parts – dreams and reality -- and the one who can cross to the other side is the one who trusts his hard work more than his destiny.” Tiger Shroff along with his co-stars Ananya and Tara are seen gearing up for the competition amidst a roller-coaster of life, love, and legacy. The film is supposed to bring the trio from the prequel as a cameo, and it will supposedly star Hollywood actor Will Smith in a cameo as well. Smith said in his show ‘Bucket List’ that he wants to make his debut in Bollywood, and he was seen with the cast shaking a leg at the song ‘Radha’ from the original movie. Directed by Punit Malhotra and produced under the banner of Dharma Productions, shot mostly in Dehradun, the film is said hit the theatre on 10th May.
