Mohit Suri ropes in Tara Sutaria for his 2014-hit’s sequel

2014 hit ‘Ek villain’ is all set with its sequel, this time Aditya Roy Kapoor and John Abraham in the lead roles. Ek Villain starred Siddharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh in titular roles. It was directed by Mohit Suri and so will be its sequel. There has been a recent development in the film’s casting, previously we heard that Disha Patani has joined the cast of Ek Villain and now Tara Sutaria. Director Mohit Suri confirming the news of Tara joining them said, Tara’s character in this sequel will be a singer and in the Gone Girl space. He further said, “It takes a lifetime to get the nuances of a musician but luckily for me, Tara has been training for this all her life. What more can a filmmaker ask for.”

After Rohit Shetty taking inspiration from Hollywood has made his cop universe with the movies Singham, Singham 2, Simmba and soon-to-release Sooryavanshi. Now, Mohit Suri is also aspired to create his universe of villains. A source close to him solidified this news of crossover by saying, “with this franchise, Mohit is looking to explore the dark side of human behavior and continue with it in the future.” Although there is no news of its release date yet.
