Marvel Boss announces Avengers: Endgame re-release

Currently amassing a whopping $2.743 billion globally at the box office, Marvel studio’s Avengers: Endgame leaves it $44 million behind James Cameron’s sci-fi epic Avatar, making it the number two movie of all time. However, Marvel has given in to the sister rivalry with Walt Disney Co. which has acquired most 20th century Fox entertainment assets. Marvel chief Kevin Fiege declared that the three-hour film will be re-released in the theatres with extra deleted scenes and hinted at possible post credits, which will give the movie more than the slight push to tip the scales and become world’s highest grossing movie ever. Only five movies have surpassed the $2 billion mark worldwide, and Disney owns four of them, making the need for Marvel’s stint more reflective.

We are doing that,” Feige said while attending a Spiderman: Far from home press release. “I don’t know if it has been announced yet, but we are doing it next week. If you stay and watch the movie till the end, there will be a deleted post credits, a little tribute and a few surprises.” Speculation certainly has placed the little tribute to be paid to honour excelsior and comic book legend Stan Lee. The deleted footage to be coming up did not supposedly make it to the final cut, and fans are highly expectant if it might be from the iconic fighting seen between the entire Avenger realm and Thanos. The few surprises might welcome Marvel Phase 4 and especially give a peek into the multiverse we might be seeing in Spiderman: Far From Home. Marvel does have chance to experiment with new supervillains, thanks to Fox’s acquisition and Reddit users theorise that the fading sound of hammering at the end of the movie might give in to a new but famous villain making an entrance,  much like Thanos made his first grand entrance in a post credits scene. This will ironically merge in the past and future of MCU together.

Avngers: Endgame will most likely hit the theatres on 28 June.
