Lifetime Contribution to the screenwriter

Veteran screenwriter Salim Khan will be honoured for his lifetime contribution with IFFI Special Award. Salim is one of the famous writer who is credited for his penning some of the popular films like ‘Sholay’ and ‘Zanjeer’. The actor will be receiving the honour on 28th November at the closing ceremony of the 49th edition of International Film Festival of India.  According to a daily, the 83-year-old writer will be conferred with a cash prize of Rs 10 Lakh, a certificate and a shawl.
