Kapoor’s haveli turned into a museum

Pakistani Government has decided to turn Bollywood veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s ancestral house which is situated in the Qissa Khwani Bazar in Peshawar into a museum. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has announced that the Pakistani Government will make actor’s house into a museum. Rishi Kapoor himself telephoned to Pakistani Interior minister Shehryar Khan Afridi and he requested him that his family’s ancestral home in Peshawar should be made into a museum or some sort of small institution and Pakistani Government responded positively to his request. The Kapoor haveli in Peshawar was built by Basheswarnath Kapoor, father of Bollywood icon Prithviraj Kapoor. The Kapoor family left Peshawar after the Partition. Now the federal and provincial governments are working on it and will transform the house into a museum soon.
