Jackie Shroff is all set to play the role of Salman Khan’s father for his upcoming film ‘Bharat’. Jackie and Salman will be sharing the screen after eight long years. They were last seen together in ‘Veer: An Epic Love Story of a Warrior’ in 2010. Priyanka Chopra will be playing Salman’s wife in this movie and will be seen sporting 5 different looks.
‘Bharat’ is an adaptation of the South Korean drama, “Ode to my Father’. It started after the 1950’s Hungnam Evacuation. Bharat’s storyline starts around the time of partition when hundreds of families were separated and ends in 2000. It is the journey of a country and a boy by the name of ‘Bharat’. Jackie who plays Salman’s father gets separated from him during the partition but his father’s words and his desire to reunite remains with him till the end.
Though Jackie’s role is not that big, it is very crucial to the plot as it shapes up Salman’s character in the movie.
