On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the Ambani family welcomed Lord Ganesha at their residence and the Bollywood stars were invited over there. Shah Rukh Khan was seen with his wife Gauri Khan. Amir Khan and Salman Khan were also spotted at Mukesh Ambani's residence. Ganesh Chaturthi festival has its significance as it celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha. People bring handcrafted idols of Lord Ganesha in their homes which is followed by a 16-step ritual popularly known as Shodashopachara Puja. On the day of Anant Chaturdashi, the idols are immersed in water.
