Andhadhun is a black comedy crime thriller movie, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, Radhika Apte and Anil Dhawan in the lead, released in India on October 2018. The movie was well received by the audiences as well as the critics. The movie revolves around the character of Ayushman Khurrana, Akash, who is a supposed blind piano player struggling to make a name. His piano skills lead him to play in a private performance for a former film actor where he gets entangled with the murder of the actor and the series of incidents that followed. Khurrana and Tabu’s acting was appreciated by all along with the writing.
However, the film was released in China as ‘The Piano Player’ a few weeks and is still raging upon the box office with a recent record break of 300cr. China has proved to be an emerging platform for the Indian films, as movies like Dangal, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Hindi Medium has done very good in the China box office.
The Roadies famed actor, Ayushman has previously contributed in movies like ‘Vicky Donor’, ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhan’, and has been widely acclaimed for his acting. On the other hand, Tabu has been part of the industry for more than 3 decades and has a plethora of performances to her name, which includes, ‘Chachi 420’, ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Chandni Bar’, ‘Maqbool’, ‘Cheeni Kam’ and ‘Haider’. Produced by Viacom 18 and Matchbox Pictures, ‘Andhadhun’ was one of the best reviewed and best-performing movies of last year.
